Rage, But Hope is a new play from award-winning writer Stephanie Martin. Filled with satirical humour, the play explores the effects of the climate catastrophe alongside the complexities and controversies of the Extinction Rebellion movement, while offering tenderness, hope and human solidarity.
Originally developed in association with Extinction Rebellion Scotland, Rage, But Hope was first performed at Summerhall as part of the Edinburgh Festival 2019, before transferring to the Streatham Space Project.
“A fascinating ‘lean-in’ performance that is completely compelling to watch. This is theatre at its finest, encouraging individual thought, sparking collective discussion and hopefully inspiring real change.” – Broadway Baby, * * * *
Stephanie Martin’s debut play Joy debuted in the Studio at Theatre Royal Stratford East and is currently in development as a feature film. Stephanie’s next play Alkaline premiered at the Park Theatre in July 2018.
